With so many skills to learn on the soccer pitch, sometimes proper instruction on heading the ball is overlooked.  Here is a great video from Jared Montz.  He outlines the simple steps to getting the most power and accuracy out of heading the soccer ball.

The best way to practice this drill is with a partner.   Make sure that you begin with your feet planted on the ground and you strike the ball with the center of your forehead.  Try to keep your eyes open as long as possible so you can see the path of the ball before you head the ball and your target location.  If you can master the skillset of becoming an excellent header of the soccer ball you will be a very valuable player to your team on the field.
