Soccer Drill: How To Warm Up Before You Play
-
How do you warm up before you hit the pitch? I bet you get your gear on and then you do some informal stretches and then if you are lucky enough to have a great coach you do some warm up drills to get your feet moving and some touches on the soccer ball.
I think today’s video will give you some excellent material not only to get your warmed up and ready to play but will also refine some essential soccer skills at the same time.
Today’s video is demonstrated by a club in Brazil. Enjoy!
Here is an outline of the video content:1. Warm up with a short kickabout.
2. Stretch your inner thigh muscles to get ready for more warm up drills and shooting.
3. Volley shuttles for two minutes.
4. Heading shuttles for two minutes.
5. Next do some single leg stretches but kicking and shuffling legs in front of you.
6. Lastly, do some short runs and one on one moves to get your blood flowing for two minutes passing the ball and changing positions.
