As an older adult I look at my young son with amazement and appreciation.  The best thing about asking a child what they what to be when they grow up is that you know that they believe they can be that person.  As parents we support that dream or idea.  As we get older we tend to complicate our outlook on life by “making the safe decision” or not “taking risks” because of this reason or that reason.  Most of life is a mind game.  So today’s soccer drill is for your mind.  Dream Big!

Well I am here today to remind all of us parents, and kids, that if you can dream it you can do it.  It doesn’t matter if you are Walt Disney or Tim Howard or Landon Donovan.  We can do it.  Here is a short video message from Tim Howard talking about what is important to him.

Support your kids and your team.  Believe in them.  Help them believe in themselves.
